Here is the video we created during the workshop.
We were recently one of the five organisations that were chosen to be highlighted in Service Punt Emancipatie – Amsterdam’s yearly newsletter. VOW Media’s director Pooja’s interview on our process and methodology was printed along with a special on our last project, Breaking the Spell.

Breaking the Spell will be screening at the 5th TransVormers Festival in our old studio at the Volkskrantgebouw.

VOW Media has just completed its 8th project, “Breaking the Spell”.
“Breaking the Spell” offers a glimpse into the lives of young girls who have been victimized by – or are at the risk of falling victim to “loverboys” (pimps), as well as girls who have gone through severe traumatic experiences, such as repeated emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse.
VOW Media aims to empower these girls and young women by making them aware of the strength in their own voices that were silenced by their loverboys or traumatic experiences.
VOW Media successfully screened “A Day In Her Life 2010″ at Atlas Pancakes in Berlin. The film was very well received. Members of the audience were touched by the videos telling us how it felt like a personal insight into Amsterdam; something that they would otherwise never get.
A Day In Her Life 2012 was reviewed by Lover Magazine after the first public screening in Casa Rosso.
