Day 9: Shooting Day 2
Another great day of shooting. Jellichje joined us today and brought her talents as a mediator and excellent translator with her. I realised that the most important thing we need for our next project is a translator.We started the workshop with A. Finishing her shoot along the canal where she dried her clothes. Back to the house to shoot F; who didnt want to but Jellichje talked her into it and soon we had her dancing outdoors. New members of the house decided to join today and will be coming to the Studio recording tomorrow as well so in that sense we were a HUGE success. P and C didnt want to film today either but thanks to Jellichje's master persuasion power we managed to get them into it as well and finished all the women.I dont want to talk about the details coz thats a surprise which will be seen in the videos.
* lesson of the day: never give up on people. you never know when they will surprise the hell out of you!!
Shooting Schedule:
13.30-14.30h Finish A. shoot outdoors by the canal. Shot with the Panasonic 3ccd by Pooja while I had shot the Sony HDV handheld. We had Jellichje assisting with the shoot which was helpful as R. and A. also came along.
14.30-17h Finishing up F.'s shoot with the Sony HDV. While R. and I were outside shooting his view of his backyard, Pooja was talking to M. who approached her asking to also come to the studio on Sunday to record a song. M. was also inspired to film with F. and also went to get changed. We ended up shooting 40 minutes outside with some rain.
17-17.30h After watching C.'s handheld footage from Friday, I realized that we did not have much to work with for her. C. said she was not feeling well and wanted to shoot another time. Pooja and I looked at each other in despair, but luckily Jellichje was again available to convince her to let us shoot her cooking and eating with the kids.
1730-18h Returned to P.'s room to film her filming. There were complications as the battery on the Panasonic ran out so we had to spend some time searching and replugging outlets. Jellichje directed P. during the shoot while Pooja shot P. filming.
