6th of October, 2013! Join us at 13 o’clock at  ASB Office (Binnenpret, Eerste Schinkelstraat 14-16 1075TX Amsterdam.) Both our projects ´´A Day in Her Life´´ will be screened at LaDIYfest Amsterdam, a feminist festival ´that aims to spread information, share skills and empower people about feminist issues.´

In 2010 and 2012, we worked with women and transwomen connected to the sex industry in Amsterdam. The participants created a body of work which includes self-portraits in photography, a radio show about leaving home for a better life, and a series of short videos. The videos – directed, shot, and edited by the participants themselves, reflect their hopes, dreams and struggles as they navigate through life. We will screen these videos at the festival.

To accompany the screening, we will also have a short discussion about how multimedia training and storytelling can empower marginalized communities of women.
