VOW Media brought the much-debated ‘Soongava’ to Kathmandu once again.

The first chapter of our monthly ‘Feminist Film Screening’ took place on the 10th of November 2015 with Soongava, Dance of the Orchids’. Nepal’s first film that talks about non-heterosexual relationships and concentrates on the issues of sexuality and gender identity among women. It is a drama film released in 2012 film written and directed by Subarna Thapa.

The screening was followed by Q & A centered around the issues of sexuality and gender identity among women, facilitated by the director of the movie “Subarna Thapa’ himself.
