9-17 / March 2019
The Little School is a memoir by Alicia Partnoy based on her experiences inside a clandestine detention center during Argentina’s Dirty War when 30,000 citizens were ‘disappeared’. The play has been adapted for the stage and directed by Deborah Merola. It will be open to the public from March 9 to March 17 at Kausi Theater in Teku.
Dr. Alicia Partnoy, the author and torture survivor, is coming to Nepal to play herself on stage as the memoirist. Eva Leiva Partnoy, Alicia’s talented actor daughter, is also travelling to Nepal and will portray Alicia’s younger self.
As part of the Educational Outreach program, we would like to conduct a 45-min session with local students to orient them to the various issues addressed by the play. This session should be scheduled prior to the student matinee show, scheduled on Sunday, March 17 at 12 noon at Kausi Theater. The play is approximately two hours long.
